This is a Rectify Series drop-in speaker system for the cab-end of Walthers Proto and Mainline FB-unit locomotives, as well as late-run sound-ready Life-Like branded Proto 2000 FB-units (note; B-units)
 
This cab-end speaker is generally a press-fit, though a touch of mounting-tape or a strap of Kapton tape can ensure a secure fit. This cab-end speaker can be used singly or in combination with one of the rear-mount speakers.
 
The rear-mount WLPR-F701-RC1 uses screws through the frame's floor, accessed just behind the fuel tank.
 
The rear-mount WLPR-F702-RC1 uses screws through little "wings" inside the frame, just behind the PCB/decoder.
 
No modifications are needed to install the cab-end speaker or replace the rear factory speaker/weight.
 
The speakers come fully assembled and tested.
