This is a Rectify Series drop-in speaker system for Rapido B36-7 locomotives. No modifications are required to replace the factory speakers.
 
Three different speaker systems are available:
 
The RAPO-B36L-RC1 replaces the mid-mounted stock speaker used for all low-nose B36-7s. This speaker alone has a fuller, smoother sound than the two stock speakers.
 
The RAPO-B36H-RC1 replaces the mid-mounted stock speaker used for all high-nose B36-7s. You will need to trim the molded-in mounts that would hold the low-nose model’s headlight PCB, but are unused in the high-nose models. This is easy to do with a hobby knife and needle-nose pliers. The added speaker enclosure size gained by doing this provides a deeper sound. If you absolutely do not want to trim these plastic mounts, use the low-nose RAPO-B36L-RC1.
 
The RAPO-B36R-RC1 mounts over the decoder in place of the rear stock speaker in either version. It leaves room to install a TCS KA2® KeepAlive, should you so desire. This speaker alone has a fuller, smoother sound than the two stock speakers.
 
These speakers are louder than the stock speakers, with only one of them equalling the volume-output of both stock speakers. If you decide to install only one of these speakers, choose one of the mid-mount versions. I do not recommend installing only one of these while keeping one of the original speakers. While it will work fine, the poorer sound quality of the remaining stock speaker will muddle-up the benefits gained by the Scale Sound Systems speaker. If you want two speakers in your B36-7, make them both Scale Sound Systems.
 
The speakers come fully assembled and tested.
